Bringing Christmas Home Room by Room~Dining Room

Welcome back to Day 3 of Bringing Christmas Home Room by Room Tour.  You've seen my front porch, my living room and today you will see my Dining Room area.  Our kitchen and dining room are a combination room.  We love to entertain and we were so sure that we wanted to make this area a socialable spot in our home.

The dining area overlooks the backyard, which makes a beautiful spot in the spring and summer.  Here we are set up for the first cocktail party of the season.  Our Supper Club did a progressive dinner with the group and we were the first stop!

Standing in my kitchen, you can see the island, which serves as our drink station for parties.

The chandelier gets in on the action at Christmas.  there are tiny lights embedded in the greens which look beautiful at night.

Here is the dining room table all covered with foodie delights for our guests!  The front is showing the brie cranberry tarts, the endive with smoked salmon, caviar and creme fraiche, you can see the pumpkin soup shooters and across from that bacon wrapped dates stuffed with bleu cheese.  Yum!

Another shot of the island.  Those wine glasses were a gift from my friends when I moved to another city.  The drinks were lemonade, and a cranberry mimosa.

Last, but not least, is the bannister decorated with gingerbread stars and gingerbread men.  So cute in the kitchen!

The tour continues the rest of the week.  Come by and visit often!  Check out these bloggers for their beautiful home tours, too!

  1. Hi Terri! Looks like you've been busy! The food looks fabulous! Hope you share recipes soon! I'm stopping in from the Home tour as well (I'm up on Friday!) I love those painted wine glasses on your counter. I've had it on my list to tackle a project like that forever and haven't gotten around to it. Now you've inspired me to get moving...
