Christmas in July!

Christmas is six months away!  This is when I plan my Christmas in July event.  I typically just do this for my family but I have considered expanding the fun~

I will try out various appetizers which is what we like to serve on Christmas Eve.  We'll make decisions on food, try to set our calendars, order tickets to events, plan what flea markets we will put Bath Cocktails in and generally try to make sure the holiday is fun but not overloaded.

I like to reserve the day to watch QVC!  I love the Christmas music they play and the specials they have.  I can usually find some wonderful gifts for my great nieces and nephews.

I usually send out my annual email to Mr. CTL's family to decide on our annual theme for our Christmas game.  We do an exchange, sort of a round robin deal with stealing allowed!

Leave a comment and tell me what you do to celebrate Christmas in July!!  I'd love to expand our holiday!

Would you like to comment?

  1. Sorry! I don't celebrate it. But I do acknowledge it! (And when I was in my early 20's, I went to a Xmas party in July - lights, tree, etc.)

And I sort through my Xmas gifts to see what I've purchased and who still needs a gift. I bought the perfect gift for my Mom this weekend; a Coronation Street DVD Trivia game, still in the wrappings, for $9.99 at Value Village. She'll be thrilled!

  2. Terri, be sure and check out GLU...I did a huge Christmas in July post, and there will be a thread in a new part of the Christmas board for CIJ ideas!
