Cookie Experiments

Today I am trying out an experiment for a cookie idea I have had for awhile. I am making these with the idea of using them in our annual cookie exchange my family has on Thanksgiving. I love the ease of cake mix cookies, so I started with that basic idea in mind.

1 devil's food cake mix
1 stick of butter, softened
2 eggs
1 T milk
1 c quick cooking oatmeal
2 c white chocolate chips or 2 c chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350. Beat together until all ingredients are well mixed. Add 1 c quick cooking oatmeal and mix in. At this point I divided the batter and mixed in 1 cup of white chocolate chips into the first half and then 1 cup of Godiva dark chocolate chips in the second half. Scoop teaspoonfuls of batter onto a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 10 minutes.

The white chocolate chip cookies baked into a brownie like cookie. The Godiva cookie was flatter but richer. My choice: the Godiva cookie!
