Simple Yet Effective Christmas Decor

I am undergoing a major transformation for this holiday season.

My family and I are headed to Cabo San Lucas for Christmas.  I made the decision not to do a lot of holiday decorating and concentrate on my trip.  All of my cherished items will be used, but for the most part, we will simplify by having one tree in our living room and simple touches in most rooms.

Head over to Just A Simple Home to see more about simplifying your Christmas.  Additional stress doesn't benefit your body, your heart or your mind.  Let's take away all of that and still have the holiday home you dream of!

  1. How wonderful that you're going to spend Christmas in Cabo! This sounds amazing. I'm all about simplicity and removing needless pressure from our lives. You're right, the added stress doesn't do us any good. These are great ideas! I especially like the 20-minute holiday wreath.

  9. Last year all we had is a tree nothing else. This year I bought stockings and lights. I also am planning to get bobbles for the tree. I think each year I'll add to it until I get a collection. Nothing wrong with simple Christmases. Starting from nothing and building it is fun though.

  13. Yay for your Cabo vacay! We always go away for Christmas as well because a few years ago I realized that the stress was simply not worth it. That time of the year should be about family and relaxation. Enjoy to the fullest.

  16. I really like decorating with my favorite ornaments or treasured family heirlooms. As much as I love Christmas, I do feel like it has gotten way too commercial. It's become more about buying more and more decor instead of appreciating and treasuring what we have.
